Hello! I am Ms. Baker. I am super stoked to be your teacher. I'm sure you're wondering..."Who is this CrAzY person who is going to be my teacher?!"
I am a 32 year old from Wichita, KS. In 2010, I graduated from Pittsburg State University with my degree in Elementary Education. A year and a half later, I received my Masters degree in Teaching. In my free time, you can find me either at Starbucks sipping on a vanilla Americano with almond milk, volunteering with the worship team at my church, or watching Netflix. During the fall, my Saturdays and Sundays are always taken up by football...Nebraska and the Chiefs in particular. My favorite player? Definitely Patrick Mahomes! After the bowl games, my attention turns to Wichita State basketball. Go Shox!
Our year is going to be exciting, challenging, thought-provoking and super fun! I can not wait to dive in and "get our learn on". :)

Why am I a Teacher?
I am a teacher because want to show love to kids, young or old, current or past, rich or poor. If they walk through my door, I want them to see someone who believes in them, who loves them, who cares for them. I want to push students to believe in themselves and to believe in each other. I want to engage them and challenge them. More than anything, I want every single student to leave the four walls of my classroom feeling like they matter. This is my why. |
